Oh dear. The bacon sundae is real and coming to a Burger King near you. Starting today and through September 3rd, you can purchase this 510-calorie sundae, which includes vanilla soft serve topped with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon and—oh yeah—18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar. Good times for your arteries and blood glucose. My pancreas is crying just thinking about it.

I think it’s the extra strip that really weirds me out. What are you supposed to do with, it, like, dip it?
Nothing against meat, but it definitely does NOT go together with ice-cream. Whose bright idea was this, seriously? Just the sound of it brings a bad taste to my mouth. =[

First, this isn’t kosher (kidding). Second, if I’m being honest I love weird combos (bacon in chocolate, bacon wrapped dates) so I’d actually be open to this if it wasn’t BK. I agree with the commenter above, would be better to infuse ice cream with bacon versus just decorate it with a strip. In terms of nutrition no worse than a cheeseburger with bacon although I guess someone can have both, ew.
So with you on the weird combos (I had bacon-wrapped dates with blue cheese a few months ago and they were so good!), but yeah…the strip…What gives? It would be just as easy to peel the bacon off your burger and put it in a regular hot fudge sundae.
Can we get one this weekend, just to see it in the flesh?
